Below are just a few of the more common pc & laptop hardware upgrades that we carry out.

SSD Hard Drive installation

If your PC is still using a mechanical hard drive, upgrading to a solid-state drive will offer you a dramatic performance improvement. In an age where most people won’t notice faster CPUs and graphics processors, solid-state storage will offer the single biggest boost in overall system performance for most people. Unlike traditional hard drives, solid-state drives (SSD) are so-called because they have no moving parts. This makes them more efficient and, ultimately, faster.

RAM Upgrade

Increasing RAM in older computers/laptop can show the biggest difference in performance. If you are running multiple programs on your computer with less RAM, the performance will be compromised. Choosing the larger capacity RAM module could be the answer to your slow computers!

Graphic cards

Graphic processing in your computer uses RAM. If you are seeing lots of videos or using graphic design software or playing those graphic intensive games on your computer, then upgrading graphic card can boost the performance of your computer, as the dedicated graphic cards will have its own RAM. Installing a new Graphics card can also facilitate use of a second or third monitor.

Power Supply

Your PC doesn’t take power directly from a wall outlet, but instead needs a power supply to convert normal electricity into a lower wattage. If the power supply on your PC stops working, the computer either will not power on or will shut itself off at random times. To test if your power supply is the issue, make sure that everything is plugged in, it’s entirely possible that a cord has just slipped out from the outlet while you’re working.

If power is present to the monitor and other peripherals, yet there is no power to your computer, there is likely something wrong with your power supply the most obvious clue is that the system will do absolutely nothing when you hit the power button. If there is no sound and no monitor activity of any kind, the power supply has probably died. While this can also be caused by a faulty switch, it is usually the result of a burned-out power supply.
